Aged Nine Years on the Suffolk Coast
Distilled and matured by Adnams Distillery in Southwold, this single malt spent seven years in second-fill French oak before a two-year finish in sweet Sauternes wine casks. The result is a beautifully balanced English whisky that captures both coastal salinity and rich dessert-wine depth. Expect aromas of turmeric, cardamom and caramel biscuit, opening into flavours of black pepper, ginger and stone fruit, with a smooth finish of apricot jam and baking spice. Bottled at 55 % ABV and limited to just 700 bottles, it showcases how English whisky can now stand proudly beside traditional aged malts.
